TERRY HANCK

Terry Hanck (born 1944)[2] is an American electric blues saxophonist, singer, songwriter and record producer, who won a Blues Music Award in 2016 in the 'Instrumentalist - Horn' category.[3] Previously Hanck earned both a Blues Music Award and a Living Blues Award for 'Best Horn' in 2012, and was nominated for the latter prize in the 'Best Song' category. In May 2015, he won the International Songwriting Competition for his soul ballad, "I Keep On Holding On."[4] Born in Chicago, Hanck was influenced by the blues, soul and jazz of the 1950s and early 1960s. After moving to California in 1965, Hanck later toured with Elvin Bishop for over a decade, before leaving to tour and record with his own band for now almost 30 years.[5]

BLUES DEFENDERS
Sonoma County's local band "The Blues Defenders" are dazzling crowds with their "gritty" roadhouse style of passionate West Coast Blues. Individually, they have played with some of the greats in blues music from Tower of Power, Doobie Brothers, Boz Skaggs, Cold Blood, Johnny Lee, and other legendary greats who shaped the world of blues music. The Blues Defenders can "hold their own" on any stage, and are the West Coast support band for the great Mississippi Blues-man "Johnny Rawls". Jeff Piche's gritty vocals and soulful harmonica front the funky bass sounds of Donny Mederos, Mighty Mike Rippee on drums, David Scott's smooth blues saxophone, and Matt Silva's wailing guitar keep the crowd on their feet all night long.
